“ Spoke w the new owner, Brian. Great guy. He bringing two unique oysters from the Tribes. One is buttery and large, the other is small and salty. Both, are as Brian described! Will be back tmr! ”
“ An excellent place to stop for lunch. There is plenty of seating, and if it's a fine day sitting outside is lovely. It's in the middle of the market but you wouldn't know it, because the spot is tuck away down an alley and the crowds are funneled away. The food was delicious. The owner (extremely nice man) was running a special on oysters, and took the time to break down their tasting notes for us. A good selection of delicious toppings came with them. We then split a basket of fried seafood. The crumbed fish was easily the best I've had in the USA (coming from a commonwealth country.) I was sorry I didn't buy the crumbed fish all on its own until I tried the crumbed shrimp after it, then I was sorry I didn't buy way more of everything. Overall, it was a really lovely date with kind and thoughtful staff, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere. ”
“ This place has so much character. My husband and I stopped in for some oysters and a glass of wine, it was the perfect afternoon treat. The restaurant was not busy and the waitress was kind and attentive. ”
“ Tucked away spot at the market. Service was really good. The server mentioned things she hasn’t tried but was still able to explain very well. Great prices. Everything was tasty and very fresh. ”
“ Really fantastic place at Pike's. It's tucked into a sunny and quiet courtyard in the Sanitary Building at the main market itself. My partner and I had a lunch here after exploring the market for a few hours, and we had a lovely time. The owner is wonderful and charming. The oysters were delicious and a must try. Definitely a local favourite of ours now! ”
“ cute little spot! went two days in a row for the oysters. (Fish and chips are 10/10 too) they were amazing. our waiter was very kind , atmosphere was great and they had banger after banger playing. will definitely be coming back! ”
“ What a wonderful find this was for us on our first ever visit to Seattle. The oysters on the half shell were the best I have ever had -- Northwest coast, West coast, Gulf coast, East coast, anywhere. And Brian, the owner, was so informative about the source of the offerings and so helpful in our selection choices. Emmett Watson's is comfortable, delicious, and so welcoming. We understand from past reviews that perhaps the prior owner(s) had some bumps in the road, but Brian has figured out a wonderful plan. If you have visited in the past and are wondering if you should go back, the answer is a resounding "Yes!" This was our first stop in our week-long visit to Seattle, but not our last. And we can't wait to go again the next time we come to Seattle. Thank you, Brian! ”
“ If you are looking for fresh, amazing quality oysters, this place is the hidden gem you want to find yourself at. Our server was great, and gave us a split of 6x6 on the dozen oysters we ordered, to try both of their recent batches. First of all...they were 2 oysters harvested the night before!! & According to them, it is sold to them by indigenous tribes in the area to support their economy while ensuring ethical and quality produce. After deciding which oysters we liked most, i ordered a half dozen more with our entrees. I got the Fish & Chips (Cod) which were perfectly battered & fried with their fries. Their alcohol selection is limited to beer & wine, a good chaser for their also limited but quality menu. I was recommended this place by a server from one of the more high end restaraunts in the area and was not disappointed. Forget the Tabasco and try their Lousiana style hot sauce. DEFINITELY, the place to go for oysters. ”
